CPC has been appointed as the Certified Service Provider for the Luminex systems
Date:
30 September, 2009
" CPC has been appointed as the Certified Service Provider for Luminex instruments in India and neighboring countries"
Luminex® Certified Service Provider Program
The primary goal of the Luminex Certified Service Provider Program is to establish a quality benchmark for Field Service Companies utilizing the xMAP® technology platform. This program is a partnership between Luminex and companies who wish to offer Field Service to end-users on the behalf of Luminex Corporation in strategic geographical locations.
About xMAP Technology
Luminex’s xMAP Technology is built on proven, existing technology — flow cytometry, microspheres, lasers, digital signal processing and traditional chemistry — that have been combined in a unique way. Featuring a flexible, open-architecture design, xMAP Technology can be configured to perform a wide variety of bioassays quickly, cost-effectively and accurately.
xMAP Technology Features
First, Luminex color-codes tiny beads, called microspheres, into 100 distinct sets. Each bead set can be coated with a reagent specific to a particular bioassay, allowing the capture and detection of specific analytes from a sample. Within the Luminex compact analyzer, lasers excite the internal dyes that identify each microsphere particle, and also any reporter dye captured during the assay. Many readings are made on each bead set, further validating the results. In this way, xMAP Technology allows multiplexing of up to 100 unique assays within a single sample, both rapidly and precisely
xMAP Technology Applications Overview.
Open-architecture xMAP® technology, developed by Luminex, is ideally suited to a wide range of applications throughout the drug-discovery and diagnostics fields, as well as basic research. Highly sensitive and accurate, yet designed for high throughput and increased assay speed, xMAP technology can help clinicians and researchers alike save time and costs while boosting productivity.
HLA testing:
Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) are found in your blood and are the primary source of immuno-rejection during an organ transplant. This class of markers is characterized by numerous genetic mutations, many of which directly affect the immune response during an organ transplant. xMAP technology allows high-resolution genotyping of up to 100 unique alleles within a single sample volume prior to a patient undergoing transplant surgery. The same xMAP platform can then be used to perform immunoassays that test for an antibody response in the patient post-surgery. xMAP technology is the clear choice for histocompatibility and transplant immunology labs requiring a high degree of multiplexing and throughput – reducing costs and boosting productivity
