Biochemistry analyzers play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases, monitoring patient health, and conducting research.

What is a Biochemistry Analyzer?

A biochemistry analyzer, also known as a clinical chemistry analyzer or a chemistry analyzer, is a sophisticated instrument used to measure and analyze a wide range of biochemical substances found in biological specimens like blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid etc.,

Types of Biochemistry Analyzers

Biochemistry analyser classified into three main types based on their level of automation:

1. Manual Analyzer

Manual analyzers, as the name suggests, require manual handling and manipulation of samples and reagents throughout the testing process. These analyzers are typically used in small-scale laboratories or research settings where the volume of samples is low.

2. Semi-Auto Analyzer

Semi-automatic biochemistry analyzer combine both manual and automated features, offering a balance between user intervention and instrument automation. These analyzers require manual sample loading and preparation, but the subsequent steps, such as mixing, incubation, and signal detection, are automated.

3. Fully Automated Analyzer

Fully automated biochemistry analyzers are highly advanced systems that offer a high level of automation, requiring minimal user intervention. These analyzers can handle a large number of samples in a short period, making them suitable for high-volume clinical laboratories.

Uses of Biochemistry Analyzer Machine

Biochemistry analyser machines are used to measure and analyze a wide range of biochemical substances found in biological specimens like blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid etc.,

Biochemistry analyser machines play a vital role in numerous fields, such as clinical diagnosis and disease monitoring, research and drug development, forensic analysis, food and beverage industry, veterinary medicine etc.,

Test done by biochemistry Machine

Biochemistry analyzer machines are capable of performing a wide range of tests to analyze various chemical components in biological samples. Some common tests conducted by biochemistry analyser using biochemistry reagents include:

Liver Function Tests: These tests assess the health and functioning of the liver by measuring parameters such as alanine transaminase (ALT / SGPT), aspartate transaminase (AST / SGOT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), bilirubin total & direct, GGT, Total Protein and Albumin.

Kidney Function Tests: These tests evaluate kidney function by measuring parameters like blood urea, creatinine, Microalbumin and Uric acid.

Lipid Profile: The lipid profile test conducted by a biochemistry analyzer machine assesses various cholesterol levels, encompassing total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and triglycerides.

Blood Glucose: This test measures the concentration of glucose in the blood, which is important for monitoring and diagnosing diabetes.
